Dr. Yun Kang has more than 20 years of experience in general dentistry, with a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and Invisalign clear aligner therapy. He provides care for patients of all ages, from young children to older adults.
Dr. Kang began his academic career at the College of William & Mary, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry followed by a Master of Arts in Chemistry. He later received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2003.
Committed to continuing education, Dr. Kang regularly advances his knowledge of modern dental techniques and treatment methods. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, reflecting his dedication to professional growth and comprehensive patient care.
Before joining 19th Avenue Dental, Dr. Kang practiced in Mount Vernon. His previous practice was recognized as Best Dentist in the Northwest by Bellingham Alive magazine in 2021.
Whether a patient needs a routine cleaning or more complex dental treatment, Dr. Kang approaches care with precision, compassion, and clear communication. He believes patients should understand their options and have the information they need to make confident decisions about their oral health.
Outside the office, Dr. Kang practices and teaches Body & Brain Yoga and Tai Chi on weekends. He values the connection between physical health, mental well-being, and a balanced lifestyle.
