Dr. Puneet Kohli grew up in Solan, a town in the Himalayan region of India. He attended St. Luke’s School before completing his dental education at H.P. University in 2007. Following graduation, he completed a one-year rotating residency at I.G.D.C. Dental School and began practising dentistry in 2008. He later worked as a dental surgeon in Eastern India before opening his own dental clinic in Solan in 2010.
In 2012, Dr. Kohli moved to Canada with his family. Before becoming licensed to practise dentistry in Canada, he worked as a Level II oral surgery assistant in an oral and maxillofacial surgery office in Waterloo, Ontario. In 2018, he completed the Canadian dental licensing process through the National Dental Examining Board of Canada.
Dr. Kohli has continued to expand his dental knowledge through additional education. In 2019, he completed a one-year implant residency program at the University of Alberta. He has also pursued training in nitrous oxide sedation and endodontics and is a certified Invisalign provider.
Dr. Kohli enjoys providing family dental care and working with patients at different stages of life, from young children to seniors. He also incorporates technology such as CBCT imaging, digital scanners, digital X-rays, and intraoral cameras into patient care when appropriate.
Together with his wife, Dr. Manmeet Kaur, Dr. Kohli also owns a dental practice in Drayton Valley. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time near the mountains, cycling, hiking, playing badminton, and exploring new places.
